Janet Bocaner is a doll maker, ceramic sculptor, painter, fiber artist, and horse enthusiast.

She begins her doll making process by creating an original sculpture. Janet then makes a mould of the sculpture, and casts the doll in porcelain.

The complete doll is a result of many firings--both to refine the shape of the figure, and to vitrify the many layers of porcelain paint. The entire process--from original sculpture to finished doll--often takes more than a year.
The result is a one-of-a-kind creation.
